Who is Dacia Adams? Why should you choose her for your picture needs? Her handsome husband sat down and asked her some questions to help you find out.

Q: What led you to become a photographer?

A: My senior year of high school I took an art class that included a photography unit. We learned to develop film and prints. The first time I saw my own print develop in the dark room… I knew I had to learn more! I loved it!

Q: When did you decide you wanted to be a photographer?

A: Isn’t this the same as the first question??

Q: How did you get to where you are today (schooling, photoshoots, etc)?

A: I majored in commercial photography (taking many portrait classes as well) at UCM and graduated in 2003. I was a part of Photo Society (photographers club) and participated in photo contests, pushing myself to learn more from fellow photography students and professors. I have been shooting ever since: High school seniors, families, newborns, weddings and events such as birthdays and reunions.

Q: When did you start your photography business?

A: I guess you could say I became official, with a website and business cards, right around the end of my senior year in college.

Q: How would you describe your photography style?

A: My style is a good mix of traditional and journalistic. I like to use it as a way to get creative. Not always straight on shots, using angles and lighting artistically.

Q: How would you describe your working style?

A: My working style is pretty relaxed. I always have certain shots I want to get, depending on the shoot, but I like to go with the flow and get a feel for what the customer wants.

Q: What type of equipment do you use?

A: I use canon 50d with a small variety of lenses. I love to use natural light, if at all possible. I like to say God provides the best lighting! I also have a canon speed lite 450 and studio lights I can travel with.

Q: What Inspires you?

A: Fellow photographers are inspiring. When I see work I like, it makes me want to shoot more! Also, my nieces and nephews are Inspiring. I love to capture their personalities! It only makes me a better photographer to shoot often.

Q: How many weddings have you shot?

A: I’ve lost count. Anywhere from 2-10 weddings every season since graduating from college.

Q: When did you get married?

A: In September of 2013.

Q: Did you shoot your own wedding?

A: No. A friend shot it.

Q: What does your handsome husband do?

A: He works on computers at a local university. He has some simple steps you can take to remove viruses/malware for free, speeding your computer up, without paying someone else to “fix” your computer. Download and read his PDF “How To Clean Up Your Infected PC“.
